Presenting :
Anna Beth Santilla
A Filipino – Belgian artist currently residing in Belgium. She obtained her Higher Degree in Visual Arts and Degree of Specialization in Visual Arts in SLAC, Leuven, Belgium. She is a licensed professional secondary school teacher in the Philippines, with a Bacherlor Degree in Arts & Literature major in English.
Surrealism is her degree of specialization creating colorful airy atmosphere by producing color degradation effects as the background of her paintings. You will see illogical organic elements and strange creatures in her conpositions coming from her wellspring of imaginations and dreams. Her paintings leave a very touching eerie emotions to its viewers.

Title: Magtanim ay di biro
Magtanim ay di biro is a title of a folkloric song that defines that struggles of the farmers in planting rice in the mud. They are always bend to plant the rice, can”t sit nor can’t stand up. This is the traditional way of planting rice in the Philippines. The popular scenery of rice plantation in muddy water is the rice terraces in Cordiller mountain.
Title: Le Pont
A scenery taken in Quezon province. This painting represent the every day routine of a farmer, who in order to earn a living to su pport the need of the family.
Title: The boy and the carabao
The carabao is considered as the national animal of the Philippines and popularly known as the best companion of the farmers in the rice field. The carabao represents the Filipinos’ hard work and perseverance.
